“We were only going to tour Shorter Mansion, but saw the adorable Eufaula Historic Tours vehicle and decided to do that as well. What a GREAT decision! Tom and Kim took us places we never would have seen in Eufaula. They made it so interesting and so much fun. We will definitely do it next time we visit and highly recommend it! The first home of the 2026 Candlelight Tour for the Eufaula Pilgrimage: Alabama's Oldest Tour of Homes is the Grimes-Burnette Home.

Grimes- Burnette- 305 Cherry Street

305 Cherry Street is believed to have been built between 1865
and 1870, during Eufaula’s period of rebuilding following the
Civil War. Located on the edge of the historic district at the
corner of Cherry and Colby Streets — both named for early
Eufaula citizens now buried in Fairview Cemetery — the home
reflects the layered history of the town. Renovated several
times over the years, the house now carries a comfortable
Craftsman influence that blends historic charm with everyday
living, reminding visitors that Eufaula’s story continues to
unfold in the homes still loved and lived in today.

We’re looking forward to welcoming visitors to Eufaula during Pilgrimage Weekend! Join us for a relaxed ride through Eufaula’s historic streets as we share stories about the homes, families, and events that shaped this beautiful river town.

🚗 Pilgrimage Tour Schedule (by appointment):
Friday: 10 AM | 1 PM | 3 PM
Saturday: 10 AM | 1 PM | 3 PM
Sunday: 1 PM | 3 PM
Cost: $25.00 per seat
Tour Duration: Approx. 1.5 hours

Our Friday 3 PM tour is already reserved, and we have two additional reservations scheduled during the weekend, so it’s shaping up to be a wonderful Pilgrimage!

Our vintage-style, open-air tour vehicle seats 4–5 guests, allowing us to keep the experience comfortable and personal.
