We have 2 major winter weather warnings as of now. Please get what you need today for the rest of the week so you can avoid travel during this storm. We are expecting up to 10 in. of snow over a 24-hour period (tues morning through wed morning). The 2nd warning is for temps as low as 17 below with windchill from 6 PM Tuesday to noon Thursday.
***WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 6 AM TUESDAY TO 6 AM CST WEDNESDAY***
WHAT...Heavy mixed precipitation is expected. Total snow and sleet accumulations between 4 and 10 inches and ice accumulations up to one-tenth of an inch.
WHERE...Portions of northwest Arkansas and east central and northeast Oklahoma.
WHEN...From 6 AM Tuesday to 6 AM CST Wednesday.
IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could impact the Tuesday morning and evening commutes.

WHERE...Portions of northwest Arkansas and east central, northeast, and southeast Oklahoma.
WHEN...From 6 PM Tuesday to noon CST Thursday.
IMPACTS...The cold wind chills as low as 17 below zero could result in hypothermia or frostbite if precautions are not taken.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Do not spend extra time in the cold. Wear layers of warm clothes, a hat, and gloves.
Check on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills inside.
