This hotel is stunning! The view from the 33rd floor is beautiful. They were so helpful with an early check in as we had a very late flight. Great airport transfer and fast tracking through all the check-in process, too. And a lovely breakfast box with our late flight. And even more like we were still on the ship after walking around the city and returning to the hotel when we got to see one of our guides as they were picking up folks for the next cruise.

Disembarkation day in Ho Chi Minh (Vietnam) from our Aqua Expeditions Mekong River Cruise… Love this line and I would most certainly sail with them again - they have awesome guides, staff, cabins, food, you name it! These photos will give you an idea of the city as we rode from the port to our hotel before our late flight (that’ll be a separate post).

Hands-on activities are fun experiences, and it didn’t rain too hard during this one. Lotus flowers are used in entirety. Paper, bracelets, strings, kindling, floral tea leaves, the obvious flower, a fun hat, and an opportunity to enjoy the quiet of kayaking quietly in nature, After a long flight I recommend you get out and move to get the blood circulation going again … that means some sort of walking.

A neat excursion this morning at the Cho Ca Fish Market in Sa Dec, Vietnam, with our ship’s Chef as we walked through the fresh fish, meat, fruit, flowers, shellfish, vegetables, you-name-it-fresh market - explaining what some items are, how they’re used, what to look for, etc. Fresher is better, so you’ll see many fish in tubs with flowing water, live chickens, etc. And there was also one where they are future meals - chicks and ducklings to raise. This market, while packed with a ton of food, is a common place for restaurants and locals - some who stop by daily for their food. You really can’t get much fresher; and it was a clean smelling market - some markets not so much, but this was a nice one with a ton of variety. I have a ton of photos, but this will give you a good idea.

This morning was a fresh food market and those will be in a separate post; these photos are scenes from the remainder of the morning - visited a historic house, a temple, and you’ll see traffic on the Mekong is picking up with tourism. This is our last full day on the ship - yep, disembarkation day is tomorrow.
