Discover The Range The official page of the Iron Range Tourism Bureau in Northern Minnesota www.ironrange.org

The Iron Range Tourism Bureau is a nonprofit organization funded by a 3% lodging tax. Our service area includes those communities with participating lodging properties and campgrounds: Hibbing, Chisholm, Mountain Iron, Virginia, Eveleth, Gilbert, Biwabik, Aurora, Hoyt Lakes, Embarrass and Meadowlands. We're what's known as a destination marketing organization (DMO) and we promote our communities, attractions, dining, lodging, shopping, trails and more to visitors from outside the area.

However, we do have our holiday & winter festivals to look forward to and we'll be covering those soon (it's faux pas to bring them up before Halloween...so more on those once Mariah Carey starts singing 😉).

There's just something so fascinating about historic structures!

The Bruce Mine Headframe Park & Trailhead officially opened in 2024 and gave new life to the towering headframe as well as providing an interesting stop for trail users to explore.

Our outdoor exhibits, 19-hole mini golf course, paddling excursions at Redhead MTB Park, and playground are still OPEN and ready for you to enjoy the beauty of autumn. ⛳

We hope the visiting geography students had a great time and learned some of the interesting facts about the area‼️
With all of the fall colors this season they couldn't have picked a better time 🙌

Here's a fun fact:
The Hill of Three Waters which is located within the Mahoning Mine seen from the Mineview is a "triple divide". What this means is that the water from this point diverges into three separate watersheds and is one of five triple divides that exist in the United States. Water from here either flows south via the Mississippi river to the Gulf of Mexico, north to Hudson Bay, or east to the Gulf of St. Lawrence and to the Atlantic Ocean.
It is also a culturally significant location for the Chippewa where they held council meetings.

For those who have never been, The Hullrust Mineview is a great spot to visit - catch them on October 17th for their closing weekend event 😉
