Big thanks to our area recreation groups who we sent thousands (yes, you read that right) of trash bags to in order to help keep the trails on the Iron Range pristine 🙌

It takes many hands, and a lot of passion, to keep our recreation trails free of debris but it's worth the effort 💯
And a big thanks to our visitors as well who enjoy our trails and respect them by keeping them clean. Our outdoors are for everyone and in that there's a shared responsibility to keep them clean for those farther down the trail.

The Eli Wirtanen Farm consists of the original buildings mad by Mr. Eli Wirtanen himself but the land and everything on it have been maintained and restored thanks to the Friends of the Eli Wirtanen Farm. The group has done wonders to maintain the integrity of this historic Minnesota treasure that anyone can visit for free.

The location also hosts an annual Family Fall Farm days event on the second weekend of September that features Artisan craft vendors, farm animals, music & more.

The Mesabi Trail is a 10ft wide paved bicycle trail with roughly 150 miles of completed trail running from the Mississippi in Grand Rapids to the Boundary Waters in Ely.

It passes through multiple communities, campgrounds, and scenic areas for cyclists to enjoy.

The Redhead MTB Park in Chisholm, MN 📍officially opened their pump track on Friday 🤘

The new track is part of their latest expansions including a campground, additional trails, changing stations & more in order to provide more amenities for riders. Organizations such as Iron Range Resources & Rehabilitation, the City of Chisholm, and some dedicated volunteers such as those from Iron Range Off-Road Cyclists have helped this park grow exponentially since it first opened in 2020.

With visitors coming from around the country as well as riders visiting internationally, this MTB Park, which was carved from the remnants of an iron mine reclaimed by nature, is set to blaze a new trail on what a mountain bike park can be 🙌
