First up… Captain Bryan!

Bryan is one of the familiar faces you’ll find around here, and if you’ve been out with him, you already know he has a way of making a ride through the mangrove jungles a whole lot more fun.

One minute we’re getting absolutely dumped on… next minute, blue skies and sunshine like nothing ever happened.

Just another day in the Everglades! 🐊🌴

🐊 A rare sight on today’s airboat tour!

Today we were lucky enough to spot a North American crocodile in the wild! While many people think alligators are the only large reptiles in Florida, the American crocodile also calls South Florida home and is much rarer to see.

A few fun facts:
• 🐊 American crocodiles can grow to 15–20 feet long, although most are smaller.
• 🌊 They prefer brackish and saltwater habitats, unlike alligators, which are more common in freshwater.
• 👃 One easy way to tell them apart is their long, narrow V-shaped snout (alligators have a broader U-shaped snout).
• 🌎 Florida is the only place in the United States where American crocodiles live naturally.
• ✅ Once endangered, their population has made an incredible comeback thanks to conservation efforts.

Every day on the water is different, and you never know what wildlife you’re going to see. Encounters like this are what make the Everglades so special!

Just because we’ve been running airboats for over 40 years doesn’t mean we ever stop learning.

⛑️🩹The other evening our crew got together for our CPR, AED, and First Aid class. We pray these are skills we never have to use, but if the day ever comes, we want to be as prepared as possible.
We’re proud of this crew for taking the time after a long workday to sharpen their skills and continue putting our guests’ safety first. Thanks, everyone! 👏💙

Now… hopefully the only thing we have to rescue is someone from wanting “just one more airboat ride.” 😉

And a BIG thank you to Island Cafe for letting us use their back room for our training. We’re lucky to have great local businesses that always help each other out! We appreciate y’all! ❤️
