Exmore, the Shore's Hometown, is a wonderful place to shop, eat and play local.
Don't wait until "the next time" or the following month which quickly turns into a year. Many people are choosing to pass by their local businesses because they are becoming conditioned to the "one stop shopping" that I've mentioned before. At all angles of the marketing world we are encouraged to go to a familiar chain, and our kids learn corporate logos before they can even talk. Do you know what that means? It means our world is shrinking; turning to fewer options than the variety we COULD have; training us to gravitate to the few central locations where billions are made by the ones at the top.
And yet, every month in this country, someone is locking their door forever. It's not possible to stay in business when people don't support your efforts, goals, principles and values.....but I do know we are worse off as we lose those icons. Please, think for yourself.
