NEW for 2026/2027 White Cap Charters will he expanding our fishing season! This fall starting late October I will be offering casting trips for perch and walleye into December, and again once the ice comes off in the spring. A great opportunity to fill your freezer with amazing table fare! Generally we stop fishing the big lake around Labor Day out of Fair Haven but next year the big boat will be remaining in the water until the end of September and I will aslo be offering morning trips out of Mexico Bay for staging salmon until October. The fishing can be exceptional and action packed, these trips will be run out of my 20 ft boat for 2 people. Today the White Cap ended an incredible season of Lake Ontario sports fishing. A year of fishing with old friends, and sharing the sport that we love with new clients. It is also the close of what has been an amazing season in my life. After 25 years as the captain of White Cap Charters, I have decided to pass the helm onto Jon Pafundi, who has mated the past 14 years for me. I will miss the joy of delivering adventures that have brought exciting memories to those who fished with me. However, after dealing with some health struggles this year I feel it’s time to slow down. While fishing is in my blood and I will never give it up, I am looking forward to getting back to some of my roots. Fishing for walleye and perch is what I do to relax when I am not on the big boat, however, I am most excited to be able to return to striper fishing on the Hudson as I did before coming to Lake Ontario. My wife and I will also continue to spend much of the summer here, we will be relaxing, kayaking, visiting with the many friends we have made over the years, and of course fishing.. Who knows I may even mate for Jon if needed. Most of all in this new chapter of my life, I look forward to the opportunity to spend more time and make memories with my family. Again, thank you all for your support over the many amazing years.
