A five minute tram ride to the top of a mountain above Los Angeles and you’re delivered into an amazing world of art, architecture, history, and gardens. This is truly a theme park for art lovers that needs at least a day to explore. Numerous 45 minute guided tours are free of charge. Of course, the museum itself is free! Only a charge for parking is required. We highly recommend this amazing resource for any groups visiting southern California. tours

Always wanted to stay here. It’s been part of the Coast Hotel chain for a while (I see my friend Cheryl Foster from Coast at trade shows), which owns the Coast Hotel Burbank next door and provides the Safari with room service.

A typical mid-century motor lodge, it’s quite comfortable and I love the outdoor patio area built over the car port entry, up the stairs from the heated pool. Of course, because it’s in Burbank, the property has been featured in countless films, TV shows, and music videos.

Another beautiful spring day in Northern California. We’re traveling through Suisun Valley west of Sacramento, an amazing alternative to Napa Valley. Received an amazing text from a tour director last night thanking me for the best day she had ever had on tour! Her company partnered with us for a group visit in Seattle before heading north to Washington’s Skagit Valley for the annual tulip festival.

What made the day so special? A FANTASTIC wine tasting experience at beautiful just outside Seattle. It’s the perfect way to round out a day in the Emerald City after a great city tour and lunch along the waterfront. Today the group will travel to the top of the stunning Space Needle and discover the amazing glass art of Chihuly Garden & Glass before stopping for lunch along the shores of . Tomorrow? The tulip fields of Skagit Valley and high tea at a private estate nearby. Let us plan a tulip tour for your group next year!

We LOVE the Nevada State Railroad Museum, Carson City! It pairs so well with the California State Railroad Museum Foundation in Sacramento. Even better? Travel between the two on board Amtrak’s California Zephyr. We include a box lunch for the five hour trip through the beautiful Sierra Nevada Mountains. Visit on a weekend and take a train from the museum to Virginia City, the former home of Mark Twain. Stay in Reno, Carson City or South Lake Tahoe.
