The Authentic Sternwheeler Tanana Chief was built in Fairbanks in 2000 and is a namesake to the first paddle-wheeler to arrive in the Interior of Alaska in 1898. The Sternwheeler Tanana Chief is owned by Greatland River Tours of Fairbanks. The Sternwheeler Tanana Chief operates seasonally, generally from June through August and offers bi-weekly champagne brunch cruises, fine dining dinner cruises and is the perfect setting for weddings, office gatherings, family and class reunions and specialty cruises. In 2014, the Sternwheeler Tanana Chief is operating dinner cruises on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, with just a few exceptions based on private charters. Dinner cruises board at 6:30pm and depart at 6:45pm...returning to the dock at approximately 8:45pm. We are offering a Champagne Sunday Brunch every other week starting on Sunday, June 15th. Brunches board at 11:45am and depart at 12:00pm...returning to the dock at approximately 2:00pm.
