People always ask me why I became a dentist & I always give them a watered down version of the story. Truth: as a kid I couldn't understand why some people had and others did not have. It bothered me when a dentist told me I couldn't have braces bc my mother was working class poor (I showed him, I had braces 3 times 😅) anyways I vowed to him I would become a dentist and "give all the little girls in the hood braces." 9 year old me was a lil ambitious I'm going to have to figure out how to get them all braces 🤔 until then my happy place is serving the have nots and the forgotten.

We alway maintain a great perspective on life because we’re always looking up (short joke 😅) So happy that my sister friend came by to visit the office. Hopefully this doesn’t get me in trouble but ....she is my favorite orthodontist .unorthodoc !!! 😩😂

When I was a dental assistant I used to work with this Oral Surgeon, Dr. Dar. He used to be SO tough on me and would quiz me on surgical terms/procedures. Things that dental assistants don’t need to know🙄. I would always say ”Doc I am just an assistant” & he would say ”Your laziness will make sure you stay an assistant!”(tough love) He saw something in me and I see something in my assistant . I find myself being like Dr. Dar, of course a nicer version of him but I am still tough.... Bessy so smart. Bessy so great. Bessy BE FASTER! Bessy DO BETTER!!😉
