We are HIRING for the remainder of the 2026 season and beyond for the right candidates at Bounty Hunter Deep Sea Fishing. We are a very busy and established multi-vessel operation that operates out FAIRHAVEN, MA - LITTLE COMPTON, TIVERTON & NEWPORT, RI. We finish around Christmas. The following positions, with job description and expectations are listed.
👉Captain- minimum of 6 -pack for the smaller vessels and minimum 50 Ton NC for larger vessels.
💵Salary is based on experience, smaller vessels give the Captain the option to run solo without mate and make the tip $$ too. Punctuality, accountability, leadership skills to guide the deck crew are expected. Understanding of vessel machinery and systems to bring a concern to me before it turns into a larger trip consuming issue.
👉Mates / Deckhands. Experience working as a mate on a sportfishing or head boat is preferred but not necessary. I will train the right motivated individuals. Understanding the flexibility of a boat schedule is a must, you must be accountable and punctual. Excellent customer service skills, time management, and a great attitude and you will bank $$$.
👉The job can be physically demanding, you must be able to work on your feet for 8 hrs or more, and maneuver on a rolling and pitching deck.
👉Responsibility’s are but not limited to; arriving before a trip to get the vessel ready for the day, loading bait / ice, maintaining the fishing rods / tackle, cleaning the boat, assisting customers embarking & disembarking, cleaning / filleting fish, assist customers during trip such as tying rigs, net fish, assist with boat maintenance, clean vessel at end of trip, ect.
👉We are an Ultra Limited Load Open Boat Fleet taking between 12 and 20 anglers on our two 49 passenger boats, and provide a high mate to angler ratio, we uphold the highest standard in customer service. IF you are motivated, and have a great attitude, this can be a great opportunity to work on the water with unlimited 💵💵earning potential and still sleep in your own bed at night. 💵Salary is based on EXPERIENCE.
👉All employees are subjected to pre-employment USCG DOT Federal Drug Test, and will enrolled in random testing throughout employment.
👉Reliable transportation to the various ports we operate out of is required, looking for candidates that are seeking full time or part time employment, and by part time I mean a few days a week, not every other Saturday morning trip 😉.
