What a fun day on the water we had. Went to get some groceries for some up coming fish fry’s. Even had an early surprise which I hope is a sign of what this summer will hold for us.

Went out on a scout trip today checking new areas. Stop at one of the honey holes to get dinner. One man limit in an hour and threw back a lot of big girls. Beautiful day out on the water and hoping for some more good weather. Fishing is hot so get with me on open dates.

Got a phone call about doing a fishing trip for some birthday boys. Went out to have a good day of fishing and enjoy some beautiful weather. Caught some good sheephead and enjoyed plenty of snacks while watching dolphins and other wildlife. A fun day was had all around and plenty of stories to be told at their fish fry tomorrow with their family and friends. It’s just going to keep getting better and better so make sure to hit me up for open dates.

Was able to catch a nice weather window and get out and catch some fish. Kept 10 for a fish fry tonight and threw the rest back. Non stop action and a really fun beautiful day. Please reach out to discuss any future trips and availability. Going to be a really fun and memorable fishing season.

We want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. Here at Capt. Longbeard’s fishing adventures we are thankful for all our customers, friends and our family. Without all the support from everyone this would not be possible. Thank you and look forward to more fun outdoor adventures.

The other day I had the pleasure of taking out a group of coast guard buddies that were down for this upcoming Veteran’s Day weekend. We spent most of the morning running away from the catfish and undersized schooling trout. Even though we didn’t get on that hot bite they were able to grind out a nice box of fish to enjoy with their family. They worked hard and had a fun time giving each other a hard time while fishing. Here at captain longbeards fishing adventures we want to thank all our veterans for their service and sacrifice. Also as a waterman we want to thank current and retired coast guard personnel for being there for us, if we are ever in a time of need.

What a fun day that we had on the boat. Met a guy at the bait store that was in from NY. He comes down to visit family and for the past 5 years he has been debating on doing an inshore trip. Well after talking he decided to give us a chance. Started out catching some sheephead and some trout. Went up in the delta chasing the birds and was able to knock off a buck list fish for him with a nice jack on light tackle (15lb braid and 20 lb leader). Finished up with him getting a nice limit of reds ranging from 22 to 25 inches. Lots of laughs, life stories and fishing does not get any better then that. Looking forward to some more trips in the future.

Had a wife contact me to do a surprise afternoon birthday fishing trip for her husband while they were down for a conference. We caught a lot of fish and kept a couple for them to have a chef cook up some a nice birthday dinner. Look forward to seeing them again next October.

Had a fun trip with some clients this morning. The reds were on fire. They about to have them a fun fish fry.

Fishing is hot and only going to keep getting better, won’t be long before some cast and blasts will be in our near future. We are looking forward to the trips coming up soon.

It was another fun tournament weekend with Mrs. Longbeard. Wasn’t the size we were looking for but took first place. Lost some good ones today. Tripletail season is starting to slow down. So contact me soon as you can as I will only have a handful of tripletail trips the next couple of weeks. The reds, flounder and trout are doing good and will only be get better as the fall approaches.
