Back in the 60’s I helped my grandfather and his friend Leslie Thomas graft and plant camellias.
My parents loved them and consequently by the 80’s we had a camellia garden of about 200 camellias here. Hurricane Sally really whipped us. We lost over 300 pine trees, greenhouse, roof to our home from trees falling, fencelines, & more.
We have slowly been able to restore the camellia garden and continue to work on it. Here are a few pics of ones that i have re identified and some I have not. If you can help me continue to identify please feel free to do so.
