🐦 Big news for bird lovers! The beloved John L. Borom Alabama Coastal BirdFest will now be led by Alabama Audubon, the state’s premier bird conservation group.

Formerly hosted by South Alabama Land Trust, BirdFest will return in Spring 2026, just in time for peak migration season. Expect the same incredible tours, workshops and experiences, now under new leadership.

Set to officially open in about a month, this 72-acre preserve is a stunning example of conservation and community vision. With 3 miles of forested trails, outdoor classrooms, a connection to the Eastern Shore Trail, and a restored longleaf pine habitat, it’s the perfect place to slow down and reconnect with nature.

This weekend at Theatre 98: The Marvelous Wonderettes By Roger Bean
Betty Jean, Cindy Lou, Missy and Suzy are the headlining last minute replacement musical group for their 1958 Springfield High School prom and are invited back to entertain again at their 10-year high school reunion in 1968. The Marvelous Wonderettes perform classic 1950s and 60s pop songs in between personal drama, petty infighting, and reconciliation in this feel-good musical comedy that will make it hard not to sing along!
