Romanian immigrant Pantilemon Chima started Chima Travel agency in downtown Akron in 1918 on South Main Street. Since its founding this family owned and operated travel agency has been passed down to 4 generations. Chima Travel is humbled and privileged to serve the greater Akron community as well as clients around The US. Currently Chima Travel's business model is helping clients with vacations around the globe and helping corporations (both large and small) with corporate travel.

✈️🏖️Our own Will Lee just returned from an incredible 6-night stay in the Maldives, splitting time between two resorts — Adaraan Prestige Vadoo and Heritance Aarah.

Will admits he’s not typically a “beach vacation” guy, but even he said this trip felt like “the first time I truly felt like I was in paradise.” His wife called it her favorite vacation ever!

Getting to the Maldives is a journey, so Will recommends a stopover in Dubai or Abu Dhabi to break up the long flights. Once you arrive, you’ll find yourself surrounded by endless turquoise water, white sand, and some of the most beautiful overwater villas in the world.

Adaraan Prestige Vadoo is just 30 minutes by speedboat from Malé. It offers overwater villas with direct ocean access, plunge pools, and ocean views right from bed. The island is small and easy to explore, the food is solid, and the service is friendly. Will described it as a “premium” experience—nice, but not quite luxury.

Heritance Aarah, on the other hand, completely exceeded expectations. Reached by a 40-minute seaplane flight, it recently earned Condé Nast’s Best All-Inclusive Resort in the World (2024). The resort is modern, spacious, and truly delivers on every level—gourmet dining, thoughtful butler service, and unforgettable snorkeling where Will spotted sea turtles, stingrays, and reef sharks.

He rated Aarah a ✨10 out of 10✨, calling it one of the best travel experiences he’s ever had.

We just returned from an unforgettable adventure with Scenic Cruises on the beautiful Rhône River from Lyon to Arles, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the experience! 🚢✨

From the moment we stepped on board, the service was warm and thoughtful, the entertainment was lively, and every meal felt like it was crafted just for us. The food and drinks were beyond fabulous—true French flavors paired perfectly with local wines. 🍷🥖

Along the way, we discovered charming towns that stole our hearts. Avignon, with its medieval bridge and the stunning Palace of the Popes, felt like stepping back in time. And Arles, with its Roman amphitheater and colorful Provençal markets, was pure magic—an artist’s dream come to life. 🎨🏛️

One of the highlights? Scenic’s e-bikes! 🚴‍♀️🚴‍♂️ Being able to ride through vineyards, villages, and riverside paths gave us a sense of freedom and adventure we’ll never forget. It was the perfect balance of relaxation on the ship and exploration on land.

We came home with full hearts, wonderful memories, and a deep appreciation for the beauty of southern France. 💙🇫🇷 Can’t wait to cruise again with Scenic!
