We’re looking for more great people to help us with the rest of our 2025 season for cruises open to the public and many private charters that are already scheduled. Our 2025 season began in May and continues through early November. Some of our Crew/Deckhands are heading back to college, teaching, etc soon and their availability will be changing.
All deckhands (“crew”) must be age 18 or older, and pass both pre-employment AND random drug testing as required by the United States Coast Guard. This is a federal drug test which includes ma*****na.
We're looking for outgoing, and personable, hardworking individuals who can help us provide a great cruising experience to our passengers! Part Time (& possibly some FT) positions are available.
Our Crew is responsible for serving drinks, (some bartending with training as needed), plate/serving food, handling lines/ropes, overseeing safety, stocking, practicing US Coastguard required training & drills, cleaning, helping passengers have a fantastic cruise experience & more. Customized training is provided based on the individual’s previous experiences.
Our passengers are all ages from babies to adults 100+ years old. Some of our cruisers are locals while others are tourists from literally all over the world. We offer lunch, dinner, brunch, sightseeing cruises, MANY themed/event cruises, private charters & more. The Colonial Belle is the largest tour boat operating on the Erie Canal. 2025 is the 200th Anniversary of the opening of the original Erie Canal. Our pre-season bookings & passenger counts so far this season are FAR above average for our family owned/operated tour boat business that was established in 1989.
It’s a BUSY season with lots of extra special cruises planned. 😊
Crew members are paid hourly wages + GREAT tips.
Serving, bartending and/or boating experience is a plus, but is not required.
💥 We are also hiring for more positions in our office as well. Office hours: 7 days a week from 10:00am - 2:00pm (excluding holidays) mid-May through November 2nd.
Weekend availability is our greatest need.
