This morning was not without challenges. An issue with my truck slowed me down this morning, but we still had fish to tackle and luckily we had a later start planned anyway.

The fish have moved a little shallow than I’ve been catching them in low 50s and high 40s.

Screen wasn’t completely on fire, but the bite was. Live scope showed me that there were a ton of fish up high and so we started targeting them since they were taking my rods before they even got to my desired depths.

Another great day on the water super fast fishing let us get out of the sun before we roasted ourselves.

Well, as some of you noticed, I’m way behind on posts, but we’re still doing the thing.
This morning was pretty stinking awesome, we had Fish just about as fast as you could have them only a few rods with warm harnesses. Keeping it simple is so much fun.

What a day! Glad to be back on the water.
Daily doubles were a success. We even had time to chase some other critters in the petting zoo today. Walleye fishing is on fire!!

Last night the casting bite was awesome once I figured out what they were after. Who would have thought this overly simple presentation would be the ticket… Some days we have to go back to basics.

Ladies and gentlemen, it’s time!
I had the pleasure of some regular and some new guests together for Tuesday and Wednesday this week. We were met with a beautiful lake that I can only be grateful for.
Mild temperatures, a calm lake, minimal bugs and fantastic fishing.
I couldn’t be happier with how the season is setting up.
We had a great time telling jokes and reeling. Regular doubles and a triple during a FaceTime call colored these two days. 🎣🎣😂
It’s time to get on the water. Make sure you pick up some worms! They are on fire!

Day one began with an empty parking lot and a beautiful lake. The crazy fog from Monday hampered my scouting a bit so we struck out to deeper ground and better fishing from past experience and a little prayer. Marking Fish at speed is a superpower on board and it wasn’t long until my graph showed me what was looking for. We set up quickly and started catching just as quickly. It was definitely a May screen, but a June bite at times it seemed like we were waiting for bites, but at the end of the day the 24th Fish hit the net after only a few hours of fishing what a fantastic day.
Day two had a similar start, my research from the night before and our experience from the day before, said that we were on one of the best bites of anyone I knew. We headed for the same grounds and we set up a little bit shallower as the sun was rising. The first Fish was on the line before the rods were set and there wasn’t a dull moment all morning. What a blessing to have such a great morning.
