The Countdown to the Festa by the Sea is on!!!

On Saturday, June 13th, please join Azorean Maritime Heritage Society, Community Boating Center, and the New Bedford Food Tours as we celebrate life on the water and our love of Portuguese pastry. The Festa is free & open to all!!!

If you are interested in our Azorean whaleboats & our story, you have several ways to check us out:

10:45AM - Help us Rig the Sails at the dock
11:00AM - Open Rows for the Public Begin!
12:00PM - Pastel De Nata Eating Competition
12:15PM - Winner of the South Coast Snackdown is Crowned!
12:30PM- Open Rows Continue

Our flagship, BELA VISTA, will be on display & we will have kids activities under the tent including an Azorean Whaleboat Racing game, a coloring station where kids can design their own whaleboat, and a "pin a tracker on a whale" game where they can learn about the marine life that we encounter.

CBC will also host opportunities to get out on their sonars to sail or their kayaks & paddleboards. Local food trucks will also be on site!

It's sure to be a good time for all!

Rules are simple:
• Contestants must finish all 10 natas within 15 minutes
• No sharing, no outside assistance
• Competitive spirit strongly encouraged
