Having lived in India for a significant part of my life, color has always influenced me especially with my mother running a boutique designing clothes for brides and bridesmaids. The symbol in the center is “Ek Onkar” translating to “One God”. This quilt be used to cover the Sikh holy book “Guru Granth Sahib” at my mom’s residence.

The black yarn is merino recycled from a Men’s extra large sweater from the thrift store. It is so soft.
This will be contrasted with scraps of sock yarn.
