Otter Tail Country Tourism Association has been working hard to promote tourism in this region since 1976. Our membership is comprised of a wide range of businesses and communities. We are 2.5 hours from Minneapolis, MN and 45 minutes from Fargo, ND. Our area is made up of twenty-four charming communities sprinkled among wooded hills and crystal clear lakes. Otter Tail Country covers approximately 2,225 square miles – and over 11% of it is water. That’s 157,000 acres of water!

A growing community starts with meeting the needs of the people who call it home. ❤️
When Tyler and Alex Rupe experienced the challenge of finding reliable child care firsthand, they turned that need into something bigger for the Ottertail community.

The Ottertail Family Center is now open, providing affordable child care options and support for local providers. And there is even more to look forward to! The Ottertail Community and Wellness Center is projected to open in late 2026 or early 2027, creating a space for all ages to gather, stay active, learn, and connect.

From kiddos to seniors, these new spaces are designed to help build connection and create a stronger community for everyone.
