I have been traveling the world since I was a teenager; first as an exchange student, then a backpacking college student, and more recently as a parent with kids in tow. While I didn't love writing motions as a lawyer, I have always loved planning travel for myself and others. I am truly as excited for others to travel as I am myself, and I want you to have the best experience possible. What the best looks like is different for everyone, and I love getting to know my clients so I can create a customized trip that is best for them. We all know how to book a hotel or tour online, but finding the best for your trip takes time. Driving in Ireland for Americans can be a vacation buzzkill, literally. With the pub culture Americans are usually surprised to learn the drinking and driving limits are stricter in Ireland and with hefty penalties. In addition to driving on the other side, Irish roads are often one lane for two way traffic, car parks are exceedingly narrow, and you’ll likely share the road with a massive tractor. Perhaps Rick Steeves is to blame, but there seems to be a bit of pride in American travels to DIY all aspects of their trip. But let me tell you, there’s no shame in hiring a driver or taking a guided tour. Yes, we drove- a huge distance- but my husband is Irish and has driven these conditions before, and even he deserved a pint after a long drive. The Americans in front of us at the Cliffs of Mohr didn’t fare as well with the rear view mirror of their rental car missing and only wires left. 😳🚙

Connemara golden hour. Sometimes you have to yell, “stop the car!” We passed beautiful Connemara ponies on our way back from Roundstone and the light was just magical. What is not captured here is me running down the side of the road in tall grasses with my skirt half way falling down due to my heavy phone in my pocket. Also not pictured here is bemused husband and kids laughing at the crazy lady running down the road.

A week of celebrating a great soccer season with and Henry’s 13th birthday. Three days at ESPN Wide World of Sports with a birthday goal followed by water slides at Marriott World Center. Then off to Disney Coronado Springs and a day at Blizzard Beach and all the roller coasters at SeaWorld. We ate junk food, stayed up late and melted in the sun. So much fun celebrating my boy! ⚽️

Is it a vacation, a trip, or a holiday? We use them interchangeably but there can be a big difference. Last week I went on vacation with my mother, not a trip, but a vacation. We were largely unscheduled and the goal was to see flowers and enjoy time together. Trips have schedules, must-see attractions. Vacations have leisure, time to unwind and relax. There’s no right or wrong way to travel. I love a good trip, feeling like I did all the things and made the most of my time away- I have a hard time sitting still. But I set this time with intention that seeing and doing all the things weren’t the point, so we vacationed and it was amazing.

Afternoon tea at The Goring Hotel in London is one of my favorite ways to spend an afternoon. In honor of the Queen’s birthday and the exhibition at Buckingham Palace we had a royal visitor at our table and her favorite gin cocktail. The gluten free scones with clotted cream are truly spectacular, and no visit to The Goring would be complete without spotting Baaarbra the sheep.

The Netherlands is known for tulips, and it did not disappoint! Keukenhof Gardens was created in the 1950’s by bulb growers in Lisse, NL who wanted to showcase their best bulbs. There are over a million bulbs throughout beds that are designed and planted anew each year. Strolling the gardens is like falling through Alice’s looking glass into Wonderland.

No fancy editing skills here, just my family having fun at Tenaya Lodge at Yosemite. We had the place to ourselves and loved all of the included activities. Complementary ice skating, sleds, arcade, swim-in movies, and s’mores were the highlights for my kids. We didn’t have time for the snowshoeing and archery. We were on the fence about choosing to stay outside the park instead of at the park lodges, but were so happy with our decision! Would definitely go back and confidently recommend.

From snow to sunshine to dark skies, Yosemite National Park was a wonder of nature. With low crowds, roaring falls and cool temperatures March proved to be the perfect time to visit. Of course I kept thinking of Donald chasing Chip and Dale out of his campsite here. Finally this Florida girl experienced the setting from all those childhood cartoons.
