Paddle a little farther and Amelia gets a whole lot quieter.

Our kayak tours slow things down in the best way. Paddle through peaceful marshes, slip into hidden waterways, and get close to the wildlife that calls this place home.

It’s quiet, scenic, and just enough adventure to make you forget about your phone for a while.

Fun fact: The spiny sea urchins found off the coast near Amelia Island may look like living pincushions, but those long spines are actually for protection and movement. 🌊

Sea urchins use hundreds of tiny tube feet underneath their bodies to slowly crawl along the ocean floor—and some species can even wedge themselves into rocks to hide from waves and predators.

Just a little underwater porcupine living its best life.

Skip the parking, grab a bike 🚲

With Bike Amelia, getting around the island is half the fun. Cruise under the oaks, cut over to the beach, swing by your favorite lunch spot, repeat as needed.

Beach cruisers, e-bikes, zero stress. Just hop on and go.

Fun fact: The marsh hares around Amelia Island are surprisingly good swimmers.

Also called marsh rabbits, these little locals live along the salt marshes and tidal creeks—and when needed, they’ll hop right into the water to escape danger or move through the marsh.

Tiny bunny. Big survival skills.

Fun fact: There are rattlesnakes on Amelia Island… but they’re basically the introverts of the island. 😄

The Eastern diamondback rattlesnake would much rather stay hidden than be seen, and that rattle? It’s just their polite way of saying, “You go that way, I’ll go this way.”

Most visitors never spot one, but it’s still a pretty cool reminder that Amelia’s wild side is alive and well.
