Breakfast on the river, pink and grey dolphins, jungle hike with frogs, anaconda, boa constrictor, piranha fishing (yes, I caught two), amazing birds and sunset cocktails on the river. Fabulous day!

Starting January 8, 2025, U.S. citizens traveling to the United Kingdom must have an ETA (Electronic Travel Authorization). It’s a quick and easy digital permission to travel; apply up to 3 months before your trip.

✅ Cost: £16
✅ Valid for 2 years (or until your passport expires)
✅ Apply online: gov.uk/uk-eta or download the "UK ETA" app

Pro Tip: Even if you're just transiting through the UK, it’s smart to get an ETA. If your flight gets delayed or canceled and you need to leave the airport, you’ll need it - no exceptions, even in an emergency.

We are still dreaming about our magical stay at Belmond Casitas 🌿✨
Tucked into the hillside above the Colca River, this place is pure Andean paradise — think thatched-roof cottages with jaw-dropping mountain views, outdoor showers, and private hot tubs. Total luxury meets nature.
The staff? Incredibly kind and thoughtful — every little detail was perfect, from the beautifully presented meals to the surprise touches around the property… loved our welcome note and written me on a leaf, and of course, the hot water bottle in bed each night.
We fell in love with the llamas and alpacas (especially feeding the babies 🦙💛), the vibrant flowers, and the constant birdsong.
But the most unforgettable moment? A soul-stirring gratitude ceremony after our spa day, rooted in Inca tradition. We learned about the chakana and the powerful symbolism of snakes 🐍 (new beginnings), pumas 🐆 (life), and condors 🦅 (spiritual messengers).
We offered coca leaves to the fire, shared what we’re grateful for, and connected with something truly sacred.
Three nights wasn’t nearly enough — but we’re taking the peace with us. Thank you to all who made this a very special stay. 🌺🕊️

Day 3..the Day of the Condor. We were thrilled to see about 17 Andean condors at Mirador Cruz del Condor. These condors are larger than California condors and can weigh up to 33 lbs with a 10 foot wingspan. Colca Canyon is home to about
39 condors. The canyon is about 13000 feet at its deepest point is 43 miles long.
