We are adding a couple adventures for the 2025 season. First, we will offer day floats throughout the upcoming river season, please call 24 hours before your desired launch date, day floats leave at 8am unless prior arrangements have been made. Our second addition to the lineup is what we call “The Lowest San Juan!”
This trip can be a logistical nightmare…but I have FV Stella and Captain Caleb in my corner! We’ve figured out our game plan and it’s time to offer the most unique padding adventure in the SW! This adventure is for experienced paddlers only, sorry no noobs! Call for further details!

You gotta learn something before you can say something!
is 44 days away and I’m honored to be a presenter at the World’s Largest Paddle Sports Expo! My story is three decades in the making, like I said you gotta learn something. You gotta have a mentor in your corner to dish out “cultural spankings” when needed! You have to learn to visit with respect when Paddling Indigenous Waters! Well, the 2024 paperwork has been submitted, I guess that means the season is over. Thank you guides and guests for another amazing season of lessons learned and safe trips provided!

Up next, 2025, and Year #5 for Tsé Kóóh Outfitters! I believe that’s something to be proud of, and we’re ready to continue with our mission. What’s that mission? To provide safe, respectful and authentic outdoor adventures, including working to increase Indigenous voices in Outdoor Guiding. And we’ll start right here on the San Juan River.

We are looking for eight (8) applicants who are interested in the River Industry, Backcountry Guiding and Wilderness Medicine. We are giving first preference to Indigenous individuals from the 4 Corners region. Must be at least 18 years of age.

While no guiding experience is necessary, it definitely helps if you have some “Outdoor Experience” (camping, hiking, hunting, etc.), as this work does require extended stays in the backcountry.

What we offer is hands-on training in carrying out a multi-day river trip, and other backcountry adventures. There will also be introduction to areas of Public Education, Cultural Interpretation and Wilderness Medicine. In addition, we will assist with other details, such as transportation, certifications, and gear.

We are looking for folks with a love of wild places, and a desire to preserve them through advocacy & stewardship. Mutual respect and teamwork are the foundation of the experiences we seek to provide!

I’ve really enjoyed getting in way over the last couple weeks! When she climbs something it’s time to stop messing around and look useful! Then there’s Mr. Zarn, I know for a fact I’ve been in way, staring over his shoulder or awkwardly passing each other! It costs extra to be in the way and it’s worth every penny! It’s been a minute, an update with Tsé Kóóh. The season ended with a trip into Indigenous Lands. Diné Bikéyah is stunning! We were watched carefully!

Utah Guide and Outfitters annual meeting at JWPM. Great community and perfect venue! Thank you JWPM, always a pleasure being there!

Then a Puntiac was born!

Ok, story time. I reached out to Brad five years ago very nervous, very green and very determined to find the long lost “Nevills dory” and put them back to work. Hahaha so green. No such thing as a “Nevills dory”! The boat I had a glimpse of eleven years ago is a “San Juan Punt and it’s upstairs!” Never forget hearing that!
Brad and I have been boating in Punts several times now, carried folks, gear, ammo cans, coolers…water jugs! The decision over early morning coffee. “Punts are King”

Boxcar returned to the womb. Lofting was done, Screw Theory was taught and I watched the Master Boat Builders of Fretwater get it done. Five days later, Grand Gulch! Punts 2.0 for 2025!
