“During your AT trip, you’re going to be spending a lot of time on trail, so sharing good trail games and riddles is essential! While talking with your friends on trail and sharing stories with one another is super important, trail games and riddles help involve the whole group and bond with each other as a unit. Some of my favorite trail games are Mountain or Potato, Poison Dart Frog, or telling my 15-minute-long joke :).

Telling riddles on trail has always been a main activity on my AT trips; the Green Glass Door and How Many Elephants Are There? help pass the time while hiking, and before you know it, you’ll be at your next campsite ready to have fun with your friends!” . . . . .

New week, same takeover! Welcome back to day 4️⃣ of takeover!

“Picking my favorite memories from AT is really difficult because there are so many. One of my favorite memories was summiting Mount Shasta in California. This was the biggest mountain I had ever climbed, and it was truly a life-changing experience for me. It was one of the hardest things I had done in the moment, but I came out of that experience with a passion and a fire to do more things that push me out of my comfort zone. Standing on that summit with my friends and instructors, I felt like I had truly accomplished something that I previously didn’t think possible for myself. This feeling really inspired me to continue pushing myself in the outdoor world. Another one of my favorite AT memories is backpacking through the mountains in Peru—this was one of the most beautiful places I had ever been. We traveled through so many different landscapes and learned so much about the region’s culture and history throughout the trip.” . . . . .

Happy Friday! We’re cruising right into day THREE of takeover! 🤩🤩🤩

“When I’m not spending my summers with Adventure Treks, I spend most of my time in Boulder, CO, where I go to the University of Colorado Boulder, majoring in environmental studies and minoring in business! When I’m not in class, you can find me outside doing anything from climbing to skiing to hiking or going to any live music show that Boulder has to offer! I also currently work at Mountain Limnology Lab where we work to collect water samples from alpine lake systems in the Rockies, and then research the effects of climate change on alpine lakes. Even though I spend most of my time in Colorado, I’m originally from Granville, OH, so when I’m not at college, I’m back in Ohio spending time with friends and family.” . . . . .
