ilded Emerald Travel for a few reasons! Emeralds have always been special to me. The very first piece of jewelry my husband gave to me (back in high school!!) was an emerald ring, and wouldn’t you know it, our first child’s birth stone is an emerald. Emeralds are also plentiful naturally in my home state of North Carolina (and is our state gemstone!) Gemstones were often gilded to protect them many years ago, and that’s how I’ll treat your travel plans: I’ll protect them, because they are valuable!
