🇪🇸✨ A FEW HOURS IN IBIZA... AND BABYYYYY, WE GET IT!!✨🇪🇸
When our ship docked in **Ibiza, Spain** We opted to hop aboard the shuttle provided from the ship and headed into **Ibiza Town** | With SO very much to see, do and experience and only a few precious hours to do it, we had some decisions to make!!
So what did we do? We chose the water!! 🌊⛴️
We hopped on a ferry from Ibiza Town to **Playa d’en Bossa** which allowed us to enjoy a little Ibiza sightseeing from the water along the way. And let me tell you... even though we had already been CRUISING, this was TOTALLY a worthwhile experience! Think of it like a Hop-On Hop-Off Bus... but on the WATER!😍
The ride was only about 25 minutes. If you've ever been to Miami and taken one of those sightseeing riverboat cruises, you get the idea~but with the beautiful Mediterranean as your roadway and it's pristine shores as your backdrop!! 💙
Once we arrived at Playa d’en Bossa, we found this quaint, intimate beach area where you can literally get off the boat and walk RIGHT OUT onto the beach! 🏖️ You can grab a beach bed and umbrella, and proceed to dip your toes into that gorgeous Mediterranean water that you’ve been sailing in, take ALL the pictures 📸 and simply soak up the atmosphere.
Of course, we had to venture into **Happiness** a beachside restaurant where we met the incredible owner, Olga. Now listen... it truly is a SMALL WORLD after all! 🌎
Olga had JUST returned from the States, and of ALL places, she shared with us that she visited Chicago and then joined friends in oir hometown where she attended the **Cincinnati Bengals vs. Chicago Bears game!** 🧡🖤 She even mentioned stopping along the way to visit Indianapolis and Michael Jackson's Restaurant. What are the chances?! We came all the way to IBIZA to make a Cincinnati connection!! 😂❤️ Then there's more Happiness is the spot for great eatz but behind hers, we ventured upon a quaint little bar where the owner treated us like royalty. We discovered quite deliciously made specialty Margaritas and scored enough for everyone and took them back out onto the beach. 🍹
And yes... DARE TO DIP YOUR FEET IN THE MEDITERRANEAN!! 🌊 I highly recommend it😊 There is just something therapeutic about standing at the edge of that water, feeling the waves wash over your legs and realizing just how far from home you really are... while making memories you'll carry with you forever. 🙌🏾
And the adventure wasn't over!! Back on the other side of our ferry ride, there was a MUSIC CARNIVAL getting underway!! 🎶🎉 Like I said... SO many things to do and SO little time!! We could have stayed in Ibiza hours more!!
So let me tell you something: **Ibiza is DEFINITELY a destination I want to come back to!** Imagine the energy of South Beach ⛱️... the beach, the boats, the restaurants, the music, the people, the atmosphere... and then turn it up with that unmistakable Ibiza flair!
Not to mention, I'm rather convinced that I know where Usher Raymond may have gotten his inspiration for the cherries.🍒 😍😂 Seriously!
And this was only a few hours in Ibiza!! 🇪🇸✨
