New stairs are done and construction to fix the water damage is complete!

We stained the siding where the stairs would go, but haven't been able to get the rest of it done. It should happen in the coming months. Then we'll have the carriage house stained with a new color scheme for a while before we get to the main house (which will also need some new siding). It will all get done eventually...

We're happy to be past this unexpected project! Happy to report the summer has filled up nicely, and the last week of August and Labor Day are still available!

Seabrook makes a great launching off point to check out Ruby Beach - one of the most beautiful beaches in WA State. We drove for an hour and a half (each way) and were rewarded with incredible beauty and lots of tide pools. Glad we finally got to check it out because it's been on my wish list and was great on a beautiful summer day!

PSA - don't forget your sunscreen! We were neglectful and have some pink spots as a result. 😔

Dressed up the new patio with some pots, added some chairs to the new firepit and relocated the picnic table. More plants to come in a couple weeks but already loving this extra space!

The work is done and we can't wait to dress this space up with some plants and places to sit!

What a huge transformation. Before the space was filled with crowded shrubs and pea gravel. So much of it was unusable. Now it has space to relax and enjoy around a beautiful fire pit.

We'll be adding plants in the coming months for some color and more visual interest.

New patio is done! We need to dress this up a bit with some plants and flower pots but it already looks pretty incredible. Can't wait to enjoy this outdoor space more, weather permitting.

New grill! The one we bought with the house was done for so we needed to replace it.

Thanks to a rec, we ended up with this new and improved Weber.

Mike put part of it together at home and then I finished up at Crew Rest today. I vacillated between feeling like Tim the Tool Man while building it and then imagining Eddie in Christmas Vacation saying "she's a beaut, Clark" (about an RV). Holds true. She's a beaut for sure! If only I knew how to grill, we'd give her a test run while we're here. 😂 Maybe our next guests will get to break her in?!

What a glorious day in Seabrook! Over 50 degrees and sunny, and a king tide! We saw many sea stars on the beach (for the first time!).

We could not have asked for a better start to our vacation ! 😍

The Cyber Monday deal is killing the Seabrook website! Keep trying! We've got one booking already. You can call if you are having trouble but I just got the page to load for me, so hopefully the issue is being resolved.

Crew Rest Seabrook has lots of vacancies in the next seven months. Help us fill it up! We hate it when the house just sits empty.
