Getting all the pieces to line up for a Disney vacation is especially satisfying when you find a way to give a family what they wanted and still come in under budget. ❤️🏰

The K family is so excited to get back to Walt Disney World! It’s been a few years since their last visit, and now they’re returning as a family of five.

Their girls loved staying at a Skyliner resort on their last trip, so keeping that experience was important. They also wanted comfortable weather, lower crowd levels and a price that made sense for their family.

Thankfully, they had flexibility with their dates, which gave me room to look at the bigger picture instead of trying to make one specific week work.

We landed on April at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, in a preferred location with two queen beds and a child-size pull-down bed. They get to keep the Skyliner experience they love, with convenient access to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios.

Even better, we came in under their budget!

I also included the Disney Dining Plan to take advantage of the available savings on kids’ dining for their 2027 vacation, along with a room discount.

This is what I love about planning Disney vacations. It’s not just about finding an available room. It’s balancing sleeping arrangements, resort preferences, transportation, timing, crowd levels and budget to find the combination that works for that particular family.

There’s something so rewarding about helping a family experience Disney for the first time, especially when they’ve been dreaming about it but need to make every dollar count.

I don’t believe you have to book the most expensive resort or spend a fortune to have a magical vacation. Sometimes it takes a little extra research, flexibility and knowing where to look to make room for the experiences your family will remember long after you get home.

For the H family, that meant finding savings where we could so they could splurge on something truly special for their daughter’s birthday.

Those are the details I love working through with my clients. Not just getting a vacation booked, but helping them make the most of it.

The L family reached out last month to start planning one on one trips with each of her kids. Her son gets to go first, and Disneyland was at the top of their list.

We were originally planning for next year because mom’s favorite ride, Indiana Jones Adventure, was scheduled for refurbishment this year with a reopening date still to be determined. Then last week, we got the news that Indiana Jones would be reopening soon, and suddenly, our plans changed!

With Indiana Jones reopening, Disneyland at Christmas became a much more exciting possibility.

Their two biggest priorities were safety and budget. Since mom and son are traveling on their own, finding the right hotel mattered. We narrowed down Good Neighbor hotel options and found one that fit their budget and made sense for their trip.

They also chose to eliminate a night at the hotel rather than lose a park day, keeping all FOUR days in the parks to stay within budget!

I will always recommend at least three days at Disneyland, with four being ideal. Christmas brings holiday character outfits, A Christmas Fantasy Parade, Believe… in Holiday Magic fireworks, seasonal attraction overlays and so much more to experience, all without needing an extra ticket to a special Christmas party. 🎄✨

Mom reached out Saturday afternoon, and I had a hold placed that evening because December availability is already getting tighter.

Finding the right vacation isn’t just about booking a hotel. It’s about balancing the budget, location, safety and the experiences that matter most to your family, then being ready to pivot when plans change.

I’m so excited to help the L family make some magical Christmas memories together! ❤️

If you LOVE spending days prepping for Christmas, cleaning your house for people who are going to mess it up anyway, cooking 47 different things, baking cookies, wrapping presents until midnight and hearing “WHAT ELSE IS THERE TO OPEN?” on Christmas morning…

THE N FAMILY IS HEADED ABOARD THE DISNEY BELIEVE! 🚢✨

April 2028 cannot come soon enough for this family! We’ve secured a 5-night Bahamian sailing aboard Disney Cruise Line’s brand new ship during its inaugural season, AND they were able to use their placeholder discount.

But getting this particular stateroom took a little research. 😉

As soon as Silver Castaway Club members could book the Disney Believe, I was on the phone with Disney Cruise Line because the they had some very specific requests.

They wanted a Coco-themed stateroom, and even though they’re a family of three, their son absolutely loves the ceiling pull-down bed. We also wanted to find a room with an extended verandah.

So the Disney representative and I got to work!

She researched the available Coco-themed staterooms while I worked through which rooms offered the ceiling pull-down bed. We compared our findings, narrowed down the options and found exactly what we were looking for.

Coco theme? Check.
Ceiling pull-down bed? Check.
Extended veranda? Check.
Placeholder discount? Check!

Now the N family has their stateroom secured, and we are SO excited for their April 2028 adventure aboard the Disney Believe! ❤️

If I’ve been a little quiet on social media this week, this is why for today alone. 😂

I’ve spent most of the day staring at my computer screen, multitasking between client calls, emails, reservations, cruise bookings and being on hold with Disney and Royal Caribbean.

It’s been a REALLY exciting day.

Here’s a little behind the scenes of what I’ve been working on today…

🚢 Disney Believe bookings! I was up early this morning to secure my own January 2028 birthday cruise on the brand new Disney Believe. I also priced out the maiden voyage for a client preparing to book, but with that sailing already sold out🫣, we’re now looking at their next preferred date in April.

🏰 A first Christmas vacation consultation! I had a wonderful 45 minute call with a family dreaming of Walt Disney World during Christmas week. After learning more about their priorities and what they want their vacation to feel like, we started exploring whether a Disney cruise might actually be a better fit. I love when a conversation opens up possibilities they hadn’t even considered!

📞 Royal Caribbean reservation changes. I spent quite a while on the phone working through a client’s cruise plans. We’re moving their future sailing from Legend of the Seas in 2027 to Hero of the Seas in 2028, transferring their deposits and making sure everything lines up. We’re also exploring an all inclusive vacation for them in 2027.

🌴 All inclusive vacation planning. I’ve been conversing with a family of six through email as we talk through their priorities and preferences for spring break next year. We’re starting by narrowing down destination options, then we’ll move on to finding the right resort that matches their wants and priorities.

🎄 More Disney vacation planning. I’m coordinating a call with a client dreaming of Disney at Christmas in 2027, securing dining reservations for November clients and working on a Disney cruise for a family excited about their very first sailing next summer.

📞 A quick pre-trip phone call. I also had a call with a client whose November trip we recently booked. We went over some last minute questions and talked through dining reservations in more detail. Sometimes, hopping on a quick call is the easiest way to talk through those final details and give clients a little extra peace of mind before they leave. ❤️

📋 Final payments and travel guides. I have several final payments coming up tomorrow and Friday, so I’ve been sending payment forms and getting those organized. I’m also putting the finishing touches on travel guides for my clients traveling during the last week of October.

📅 Looking ahead. I’ve been scheduling calls for tomorrow to discuss Disney Cruise Line activities and excursions, along with planning details for upcoming November vacations.

Somewhere in the middle of all of that, I squeezed in an agency meeting this morning to talk about updates, social media, vendors and our upcoming 2027 agency trip.

I finally sat down for lunch around 1:45. 😂

This is the part of being a travel advisor that you don’t always see. The phone calls, the research, the reservation changes, the follow ups, the planning conversations and all the little details that go into making sure a vacation comes together.

Every family has different priorities, different budgets and a different idea of what makes a vacation special. My job is to listen, sort through the options and put together something that makes sense for THEM.

So if you see me being a little quieter on social media some days, chances are I’m behind the scenes doing what I love… planning vacations and making some pretty exciting travel dreams happen. ❤️✈️🚢

What started as a Disney trip for one grandma and her grandson turned into a vacation for two sisters and their grandkids! ❤️🏰

Mrs. F originally reached out to me about taking her grandson to Walt Disney World next April. It’s been quite some time since her last visit, and as you can imagine, a LOT has changed. New parks, new lands, new attractions and new systems to navigate.

Her nephew, Mr. K, sent her my way, and I’m so grateful he did!

We’ve talked over the phone a couple of times about what matters most to her, and one thing was clear… she loves a good value resort. Her family used to stay at the All Star Resorts, but she’s excited to experience the Disney Skyliner for the first time!

We landed on Disney’s Pop Century Resort in a Preferred Room, giving them that fun value resort atmosphere with the added convenience of Skyliner access.

She was so excited about the trip that her sister decided to join in, bringing her granddaughter along for the adventure, too!

Now we’re already talking character dining and all the experiences they want to fit into their April vacation. With so much having changed since Mrs. F last visited, I’m making sure they know what to expect and helping them plan the details well before they arrive.

I love getting to be part of vacations like this… especially when it means two sisters get to share the Disney experience with their grandkids. April can’t come soon enough!

There’s something extra special about planning a family’s very first Disney vacation, especially when you get to find a resort that checks all their boxes. 🏰❤️

For their boys’ first Disney trip, mom knew she wanted more than a Value Resort. She wanted great amenities, easy access to Magic Kingdom and a resort they could enjoy beyond the parks.

After talking through their priorities, I found availability at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa in a Water View room category. I secured the hold, and we booked just before the final payment deadline!

But the resort was only the beginning. Their park tickets, dining plan and dining reservations are secured, I’ve mapped out their park days, and their rental car for the next leg of the trip is booked. They’re also taking advantage of Disney’s Kids Dine Free offer for 2026.

This is what an experienced travel advisor brings to the table. It’s not just about finding an available room. It’s about knowing what to look for, finding the right fit when availability is tight and taking care of the details that make a vacation come together.

Is it too late to plan a holiday Disney vacation? Not necessarily! Don’t assume you’ve missed your chance before exploring your options.
