"Life is short and the world is wide." — Simon Raven

One of the things I love most about travel is having something exciting on the horizon. Sometimes it’s a destination that has lived on your list for years. Sometimes it’s a beach or city waiting to be explored, or simply time set aside with the people who matter most.

The places themselves are memorable, but it’s often the feeling that stays with me.

What destination is inspiring you lately? Let’s talk about your next journey.

Canada does outdoor adventure better than almost anywhere in the world. And it looks different in every season.

Summer: Banff and Jasper in the Canadian Rockies offer glacier walks, kayaking on Moraine Lake, and wildlife encounters. The Icefields Parkway, connecting the two parks, is one of the great road trips on the continent.

Fall: Quebec and New Brunswick put on a foliage display that competes seriously with New England, with far fewer visitors. Charlottetown and the Gulf of St. Lawrence are both worth building time around. And then there's Niagara Falls, which is worth experiencing at least once from the Canadian side, where the views are significantly better.

Winter: Whistler for skiing that matches anything in Europe for vertical and variety. Quebec City in January for the Winter Carnival, and an atmosphere that doesn't exist anywhere else in North America.

Spring: Tofino in British Columbia for storm watching, old-growth forest walks, and a surfing culture most people don't associate with Canada at all.

What season would you prefer? Get in touch and let's start planning!

Some trips are worth doing properly. These are three of them.

Japan. The food culture alone makes it worth the flight. Add the precision of the hospitality, the range from Tokyo to Kyoto to the ski resorts of Hokkaido, and it becomes one of the most consistently excellent trips I design.

Safari. The wildlife, the guides, and the lodge experience at the top end of the market is something no nature documentary fully prepares you for.

The Maldives. The distance is real, the cost is real, and the experience tends to permanently reset what clients think a hotel stay can be.

Three different trips. The same result: clients who come home saying it was worth every dollar. Get in touch if any of these are on your list.

Destination Spotlight: Mexico

Mexico has a way of fitting more into one trip than people expect. Ancient ruins, incredible food, beautiful beaches, colorful streets, and experiences that feel completely different from one another. There is always another side to discover, which is part of what keeps travelers coming back.

Mexico gets better the more you explore it. Let’s start planning!

What does the most ultra-private, most exclusive island resort in Southeast Asia actually look like? This.

Amanpulo sits on Pamalican Island in the Philippines, in the Sulu Sea, accessible only by chartered flight from Manila. Here's what you can expect at one of the world's most exclusive addresses:

42 private casitas spread across the island, a house reef you can snorkel directly from the beach, dive sites with some of the most remarkable visibility and coral cover in Southeast Asia, and not a single day visitor in sight. The beach is yours, the schedule is yours, and the only transportation on the island is a golf cart.

This is one of the most exclusive trips I plan. Reach out if you'd like to be next.

Sometimes a hotel is the reason you book the trip. This is one of those.

Capella Bangkok is on the Chao Phraya River, and the position matters more than most riverfront claims in this part of the world. The property has 101 rooms and suites, which is small by Bangkok standards, and the level of service reflects that. The river views from the upper floors are among the best angles on Bangkok from any hotel in the city.

The spa is one I specifically tell clients to book before they arrive, not after check-in. The treatments are built around traditional Thai protocols: tok sen, herbal compress work, and longer-format sessions. Block off a half day and adjust your plans around it.

Advisor Tip: The river access makes temple visits significantly easier than navigating from most central Bangkok hotels. Wat Pho and Wat Arun are both reachable by boat directly from the hotel's pier.

I'd love to help plan your trip. Message me to start planning!

Looking for a reason to finally book New Zealand? Here's a good one.

Rosewood Cape Kidnappers is on the Hawke's Bay coast of New Zealand's North Island, on a working farm covering several thousand acres above dramatic coastal cliffs. The golf course consistently ranks among the world's best and is designed around those cliffs in a way that rewards anyone paying attention.

Non-golfers find plenty here. Farm tours, clay pigeon shooting, cycling the property, and some of the most striking scenery the North Island offers. The wine region of Hawke's Bay is on the doorstep, and the restaurant's commitment to local food culture is serious.

Ready for New Zealand? Let's get started.
