I’ve had a few people reach out to me for Italy trips! I knew this was coming soon. Be prepared when visiting the Trevi Fountain!

Tourists hoping to get close to the Trevi Fountain had to pay 2 euros ($2.35) starting Monday as the city of Rome inaugurated a new fee structure to help raise money and control crowds at the one of the world’s most celebrated waterworks.

The city decided to impose the fee after seeing positive results from a yearlong experiment to stagger and limit the number of visitors who can reach the front edge of the basin by imposing lines and pathways.

It's all part of the Eternal City’s efforts to manage tourist flows in a particularly congested part of town, improve the experience and offset the maintenance costs of preserving Rome’s cultural heritage. https://abcnews.visitlink.me/vCfkOW

This recent cruise was my 3rd cruise EVER so let me tell you I squealed the biggest squeal when I saw the other 2 ships I’ve been on pull up at the same port.
This will probably never happen again but I still wanted to give a hello and love to the Disney Dream and the Carnival Freedom.

And it is true….the Freedom is still rocking the missing whale tail 😂
