Please note we will have wristbands in place beginning June 6th (week 23) to ensure our facilities are being used by registered owners and guests. IF you are arriving after the office is closed please make sure you let the office know how many wristbands will be required So they will be placed in your envelope. Estero Island Dune Repair and Scour Fill Truck Haul Project

Beginning mid-May 2026, the Town will haul approximately 41,655 cubic yards of beach compatible sand from a Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) approved inland mine to Fort Myers Beach. Dunes will be rebuilt from the Miramar beach access #31 to Aberdeen beach access #14. In addition, the Town will fill in low lying areas to mitigate ponding on the upper beach. The contractor will use the Dakota beach access #16, Sterling beach access #15, and the Seagate (f.k.a. Red Coconut) properties to access the beach and stage sand. The project will be completed in approximately 45 days. This project is authorized by FDEP permit 0413684-001 and United States Army Corps of Engineers permit SAJ-2000-03017. Shorebird and sea turtle nesting will be monitored daily in accordance with permit requirements. This project is paid for by the Florida Department of Emergency Management Legislative Appropriations Grant #1502.

Please exercise caution while on the beach sand as the trucks are passing the resort frequently.

Spring into summer with our weekly activities…Tuesdays please join us for complimentary donuts and coffee, in the office at 9AM. Fridays we offer ice cream floats for $2.00, from 1PM-2PM. As always, beach towels are available to rent for $2.00 and we have custom Island Towers Resort merchandise for sale.
