Saturday, September 26 is National Public Lands and Urban Wildlife Day!
National Public Lands Day is a day to celebrate outdoor recreation and what better way than to spend the day at Lovers Key State Park! Whether you enjoy the beautiful beach, go fishing, paddle in the mangroves, walk, run or hike on our miles of sand packed trails, take in the beauty of your surroundings and enjoy our wildlife sightings as well.
Lovers Key State Park has no official scheduled events for the day, but we invite you to get outside with your family and explore. Consider becoming a volunteer at the park or with FOLKS. Help us to keep our beaches clean by picking up trash and practicing a "Leave no Trace" footprint in all of your outdoor activities.
Help support park improvements and resorce management projects by becoming a member of FOLKS. You will also help us in our fundraising efforts for the future Welcome and Discovery Center.
