🏝️ Construction is underway on Legacy Island in the Caloosahatchee River, right in downtown Fort Myers. Plans include a new park with walking trails, a dock, an observation platform, and a beach, making it a destination spot. Residents are thrilled about the transformation, which is set to revive the area's boating community. 🚧

🐚 The 86th annual Sanibel Shell Show was a huge success on March 8th and 9th at the Marriott Sanibel Harbour Resort in Iona! This event, one of the largest shell shows in the country, showcased thousands of shells and attracted shell enthusiasts from all over. From artistic displays to scientific exhibits, visitors enjoyed a fascinating display of the wonders of the shelling world. Even more special was the presence of Hatsumi Imaro, a shell artist from Japan, who shared her traditional shell art with the community. Despite challenges like last year's cancellation due to hurricane Ian, the show has grown and continues to delight visitors with the beauty of shells.
