This could be your lucky Day to escape into the Bob Marshall Wilderness! We have a July 6 through July 11 Bob Marshall Wilderness pack trip which did not fill with guests. We can accommodate 2 or 4 more guests. Our offer is two for the price of one. Our price for a 6 day pack trip is $3300, so two persons can come for 3300 or four for $6600. Big cutthroat trout, panoramic views from the top of Jumbo Mountain and nights around the campfire just to mention a few possibilities. This is a deal of deals for some quality outdoor time. Don't worry about the horseback riding, more guests than not have never ridden. We give instruction on safety, horse do's and don'ts and you will always be with a staff member. This is Dave's 50th year of outfitting and he highly recommends recreating while you are physically able.

Hello from Big Sky country in Montana. On an earlier post we mentioned this is Dave Hettinger Outfitting's 50th year in business. Dave at 74 would like to acknowledge his mentor and very close friend, Howard Copenhaver. After 52 years of outfitting in the Bob Marshall Wilderness of Montana, Howard Copenhaver authored 4 books. I highly recommend these books entitled: Tracks, More Tracks, Copenhaver Country & Mule Tracks, The Last Story. These books will take you back on past century pack trips to Dave's and Howard's beloved Bob Marshall/Scapegoat Wilderness.

Non-baited Spring Bear May 1st - June 15th. A Dave Hettinger Outfitting specialty. Very affordable hunt with a near 100% chance to harvest a bear. We have some beautiful brown color phase black bears. Hunting is done with horses along with lots of glassing and hiking. We have an opening for you in 2026!

Scott & Andrew (Trout Unlimited members) fished with us in the Bob Marshall Wilderness, Montana last July.
