Family Vacation Recap - All good things must come to an end. We had a great time in Mexico. With such busy schedules, it was so great to unplug and spend time together. After all, that is the best part of any vacation, spending time with the ones you love most!

Family Vacation Day 5 - We spent the morning at the pools and water park again today. In the afternoon, I left the guys at the pool and headed next door to tour Joia Beach Resort. This is the adult only resort and, while guests have access to the entire complex, they do not allow visitors from other resorts. They have beautiful ocean front butler suites, many dining options and an on-site spa. Later in the evening, we headed to the Maya resort for a great dinner at the steakhouse. We finished the evening with a visit to the lobby bar at our resort (with an aquarium Jesse loved) and the evening show.

Family Vacation Day 4 - Most of the day was spent at the main pool, wave pool and the beach. Jesse also tried out some of the water slides. For dinner, we walked to the resort next door for habachi at Le Geisha. Later we took the shuttle over to Del Mar to see the flamingos.

Family Vacation Day 3 - This was an easy and fun day at the pool followed by an afternoon siesta in the air conditioning. Dinner was at Under the Sea seafood restaurant. The sculptures of sea creatures are all made from recycled plastics from the beaches in the area. Later we walked the beach and saw a fun wedding reception set up on the sand.

Family Vacation Day 2 - We started the day with a walk around the resort. There are 5 resorts in this complex and we were able to explore 4 of these as the fifth is adults only. The beach here is big with great facilities. It is seaweed season but the resort did an excellent job in controlling it. After the afternoon at the pool we went to the Italian restaurant for dinner and then visited the on site shopping center. There was a fun acrobatic and fire show followed by a tribut to America, our national anthem and July 4 fireworks!

Family Vacation Day 1 - Thank you for following along on our family vacation in Mexico. We arrived in style in an SUV stretch limo for our 40 minute ride to the Iberostar complex in Rivera Maya. After spending a few hours in the many pools at our resort, we hit the buffet for a quick dinner. The buffet has a different theme each night and last night was Asian. We capped the evening off with the fire show by the pool. More to come...
