Honestly, I can’t imagine a resort handling the current situation in Jamaica any better than Beaches Negril. There are 5 restaurants open for dinner tonight plus 2 dessert/coffee options. For the last 2 nights we have had room drops of fresh fruit, pastries, and chips to make sure that we have extra things to munch on. They are delivering extra towels, amenities, and soda/juice/water to try to get us as stocked as they can before things get rough. Communication is excellent and the staff is as accommodating as you can possibly imagine. They are constantly making sure you are happy and have everything you need. The entertainment staff is setting up more games and crafts to keep the kids happy and entertained and to relieve any stress on their parents that they can. They are providing popsicles, fruit kabobs, fruit cups, etc for fun snacks also! Baby items are being brought in and dietary restrictions are being paid attention to when comes to food. They are moving people’s rooms if they are uncomfortable with their current location and a member of management is staying on each room block so that we have easy access to someone at all times. There are 200 guests here and 100 employees that will be weathering the storm together. It’s been amazing to see how the staff is preparing for the storm and fortifying the resort against the coming wind and rain while trying to keep as much available to the guests as they possibly can. I’ve always loved this resort, but my confidence in them and their care for their guests has multiplied and grown even more during this stay.
