Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport will rename almost all of its terminals on March 16, 2027. Paris Aéroport, the company that runs the airport, announced the change this week.
Today the names are confusing. There is Terminal 1, a Terminal 2 split into letters (2A to 2G), and a Terminal 3 that sits far from the rest. After the change, the terminals will simply be numbered 1 to 7.
Here is how the new system works:
- Terminal 1 keeps its name
- Today's Terminal 3 becomes Terminal 2
- Terminals 2A and 2C become Terminal 3
- Terminals 2B and 2D become Terminal 4
- Terminal 2E becomes Terminal 5
- Terminal 2F becomes Terminal 6
Terminal 2G becomes Terminal 7
The boarding halls inside the terminals will change too. Each hall will get one unique letter. The idea is simple: follow the numbers outside the terminals, and follow the letters once you are inside.
Parking lots will be renamed as well. Each one will carry the number of the terminal it is next to, so it is easier to connect where you park with where you fly from.
On March 16, 2027, all signs, screens and announcements will be updated, and Paris Aéroport staff will be on site to help travelers find their way.
