BE THERE WHEN SANTA COMES TO FRANKLIN SQUARE!
As you drive through Franklin Square, you are certain to pass any one of a dozen signs announcing The 6th Annual Franklin Square Kiwanis Holiday Tree Lighting at the Triangle at New Hyde Park and Court House Roads near St. Catherine's Church this Saturday, Dec. 1, from 5 pm to 7 pm.
It is now our annual tradition in Franklin Square to put up a beautiful 20-foot tree, beautifully lit so that we can welcome Santa to Franklin Square, have the Jolly Fellow perform the ceremonial "flick of the switch," and mark the beginning of the Holiday Season.
This year we will feature Free Santa Hats (courtesy of Century 21 American Homes), Free 3D Holiday Glasses (courtesy of Elisette Ocampo of Century 21 Prevete Realty), Classic Christmas songs from our Holiday Choir, and lots of Christmas caroling from our very children in the audience.
Following our ceremony, the crowd will repair to nearby Trotter's Bar & Grill for Free professional Photographs with Santa, Holiday Face Painting for the Kids, and Free Hot Cocoa and Cookies.
Please come and celebrate with us at this truly festive, community event.
