Airfare costs are substantially impacting the pricing of vacations I've been booking. As travel agents, we have no control over airfare pricing, which can be the most volatile component of any trip, and we don't receive any commission for selling airfare.

Delta’s Ed Bastian said the company plans to keep its higher prices, even if fuel costs stabilize, to help boost profits.

The State Department assigns advisory levels 1-4 for ALL destinations (not just dangerous ones!). The level is assigned based on the risks. The determinations are made based on information from our U.S. embassies and consulates on the ground and the reasons are described in the text of each advisory.
Level 1 – Exercise normal precautions
Level 2 – Exercise increased caution
Level 3 – Reconsider travel
Level 4 – Do NOT travel
Always review the Travel Advisory for your destination at travel.state.gov/destination before traveling.

Parents: Don’t let lack of preparation ruin your family vacation. Children under 16 must apply in person for a passport at one of our 7,500+ acceptance facilities. Both parents/guardians must be present or provide a Statement of Consent (Form DS-3053). Passports for kids under the age of 16 are valid for 5 years, not 10, so make sure to check the expiration date before booking travel. Learn more at travel.state.gov/passport
