✨ Travel Tip Tuesday ✨
The ship waits for no one ⏰ — and nothing ruins a vacation faster than missing sail-away! Here are some smart ways to make sure you’re back on board before the gangway goes up:

🚐 Book ship-approved excursions when possible – If a tour runs late, the ship will wait for its buses. Independent excursions don’t have that guarantee.

📝 If booking outside the cruise line – Do your homework:
• Choose vetted suppliers recommended by your travel advisor or trusted sources.
• Read recent reviews to confirm reliability.
• Ensure the itinerary builds in a buffer of at least 1–2 hours before all-aboard time for traffic, delays, or unexpected hiccups.

📱 Stay on ship’s time – Your phone may auto-adjust to local time, but departures always follow the ship’s clock. Double-check daily!

⏳ Give yourself a cushion – Aim to return 30–45 minutes early even if you’re close to port.

📍 Know your way back – Take a quick photo of the terminal or pier to make returning simple.

💳 Keep ID + cruise card handy – Both are required for re-entry into port and boarding the ship.

Because the best view is always from the deck 🌊 with a drink in hand as the ship sails away — and you’re on it! ⚓

Reminiscing about our Mediterranean cruise stop in Marseille, France—a day spent exploring the heart of Provence.

We journeyed by coach through the French countryside, where lavender fields and olive groves painted the landscape. A highlight was visiting the Musée de la Lavande in Coustellet, learning about the heritage of lavender, and enjoying delicate pastries from the little shop just across the way.

Our travels then took us to the enchanting village of Roussillon. Before exploring, we lingered over a long French lunch at Restaurant Le Piquebaure, whose terrace overlooked the ochre cliffs and valley below. The red-and-white bistro chairs, crisp rosé, and Provençal flavors made for the perfect pause in our day.

Afterward, we wandered the ochre paths and vibrant village streets—captivated by the red clay formations reminiscent of Arizona and Utah, yet so uniquely French. We strolled cobblestone lanes, browsed for souvenirs, savored gelato, and admired the whimsical outdoor fountains and architecture full of character.

💜 Lavender, ochre, and timeless charm—Provence gave us a day of unforgettable color, flavor, and beauty.
