a day on lake thun 🩵🦢
turquoise water, fairytale castles, historic churches, lakeside villages & the Alps in every direction 🥹
⛵️ sailed aboard Cupido, a historic wooden yacht built in 1918 that competed in the 1928 Olympics, now part of Segelschule Thunersee - Switzerland’s oldest & largest sailing school! they even let us take over & try sailing her ourselves for a bit 🥹
🏰 explored Oberhofen Castle, a 700+ year-old castle right on the water Tourismus Hilterfingen Hünibach Oberhofen
🌿 wandered through dreamy castle gardens & tree tunnels overlooking Lake Thun
🍇 visited the terraced vineyards of Oberhofen tucked into the hills above the lake
a scenic cruise around Thun-Thunersee Tourismus is a must (basically the Swiss version of island hopping 😂), but we opted for a private sail instead & it was perfect! totally recommend Segelschule Thunersee for a one-of-a-kind classic wooden yacht experience ⛵️
