A beautiful day for filming! 🎥

Thank you to everyone that showed up to
help by walking the town, fishing off their boats, paddling the river, and giving us a tour of their downtown shops.

It was a gorgeous day and we can’t wait to see all the footage.

We couldn’t have made this happen without the support of this community! Our hearts are full today. ❤️

🎥 Be Part of Franklin’s Story!

We’re looking for local volunteers to help us showcase everything that makes Franklin, PA such a special place to live, work, and visit.

On Saturday, we’ll be filming a tourism promotional video and need people of all ages, backgrounds, and interests to appear in a variety of scenes throughout the day. Whether you’re a young family, retiree, outdoor enthusiast, student, couple, or group of friends, we’d love to have you involved!

📍 Filming Times:
• 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM (Downtown scenes, shopping, strolling, community interactions)
• 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM (Outdoor recreation including hiking, biking, kayaking, and enjoying our beautiful natural spaces)

No acting experience needed, just bring your smile, your Franklin pride, and a willingness to help us show visitors what makes our community so unique.

For (Throwback Thursday), we came across this incredible video from Dan Hawley on YouTube that takes viewers through downtown Franklin by comparing vintage postcards and historic scenes with present-day views from the very same locations.

What we love most about this video is how it not only shows how much Franklin has grown and evolved over the years, but also how much of its character, architecture, and history has been thoughtfully preserved along the way. From our truly unique buildings and historic homes to the ongoing investment and commitment to preservation, it’s a powerful reminder that progress and preservation can go hand in hand.

Franklin’s story continues to be written while honoring the generations who helped shape it, and we think this video captures that beautifully.

🎸🔥 THE BLUES ARE COMIN’ TO FRANKLIN 🔥🎸

Mark your calendars for June 19–21, 2026 as the 2026 Franklin Blues & Barbecue Festival takes over downtown Franklin, PA for an unforgettable weekend of live music, smoky barbecue, cold craft beer, and good times.

The party kicks off Friday night, June 19 at 7 PM at Trails to Ales II with an All-Star Blues Jam hosted by Max Schang featuring Colin John, Andrew Sherer, Amy Shallenberger, Charlie Barath, John Burgh, and Sky Visco. Expect incredible musicians, powerful blues, cold brews flowing, and a night that’ll shake the walls in the best way possible. Huge thanks to Trails to Ales Brewery for continuing to support live blues music year after year. 🍻🎶

Then the festival rolls into beautiful downtown Franklin at Bandstand Park on Liberty Street for TWO FULL DAYS of award-winning blues artists on June 20 & 21 beginning at noon each day.
