"um, what are we looking at her HJ?" Good question. All the dirt you see in this picture is the future home of Fraser's $1.1 million bike park!
Right between the Fraser River and Highway 40, and bordering the southern Lions Pond, will be a mecca for all things wheels! And the best part: it should be done before the snow is sticking to the ground!
While this spot is convenient from pretty much anywhere, remember that if you're trail riding and you don't want to waste your energy getting TO a trailhead, Home James can take you there and pick you up!

And just like that, Beavers is gone. While we'll all miss seeing the old A-frame style hotel, the fire department considered it "one of the most dangerous buildings in Grand County," according to the Sky-Hi News.

Got the privilege to Ski for NSCD today, an unbelievable organization helping people go out of their comfort zone and realize how much they can actually do. We're so lucky to have this organization at Winter Park!
I busted out the ol' Home James Gilson skis for it (it was a powder day after all). A liftie just said "you work for Home James?" I said yes. He said "thanks for what you do." I told him "thanks for what YOU do!"
