So excited to share with you this amazing week! Today marks Day 1 of the 25th Anniversary Celebration of Academy Travel!

Day 1 of the Convention!!

Can't beat a day that starts at Disney!

Today's character: Toy Story's Jesse as a business woman!

After getting lost a bit, all checked in and ready for round two today, tonight's costume party!
It was a surreal moment to walk through those front doors of the convention center. Last time I was there, I was walking in through the back, in a Cast Member costume, ready to work the event.
Now, I'm walking through the front door in my own clothes and on the other side of the desk!
Such an amazing journey to get here and I can't wait to show you more!

Pro Tip Of The Day!!

Queue Line Tides!

Each ride's queue line has High Tides and Low Tides. Following these tides will help you spend your time enjoying the park, not waiting in line!

As much as Disney does well to create fun queue lines, there's still more fun ways to spend your time! Some rides, 60 minutes is their Low Tide, others? You can wait it out until it gets to around 30 minutes!

High Tide Rides:
These are rides you will probably just have to wait it out, unless you splurge for the Lightening
Lane.
• Both rides in Pandora
• Remy's Ratatouille Adventure
• Slinky Dog Dash
• Rockin' Roller Coaster
• Rise of the Resistance
• 7 Dwarves Mine Train

The best times to ride these rides will be when it makes sense location wise for your day. If you're in Pandora first, ride these early, if you're walking past Slinky Dog Dash, go ahead and get in line. You can plan your day around these too!
All other rides will ebb and flow throughout the day more! So it's worth waiting it out when Space Mountain is at 75 minutes and ride Carousel of Progress and the Peoplemover while you wait for it to drop down to 30/45 minutes!

The Disney World App is your best friend when watching Queue Line Tides! Enjoy your day and play it by ear, not being afraid to snag a wait time, or wait a little bit for it to drop!

Park Tip Of The Day!!

The Park goes 101!

101 means stay inside due to weather. But that doesn't mean your day has to be delayed!

Rule Number 1 of rainy days at Disney: DO NOT LEAVE!

There will usually be a significant amount of people who leave the parks in a rain storm. But Florida rain never lasts! So make some rainy magic and wait the few minutes for it to be over for a nice reprieve of Disney crowds!

Only outdoor activities will shut down until the weather clears.
This means two things:
1. You can still ride indoor rides
2. Everyone will now be riding indoor rides

Not every queue line skyrockets, so the key is to either find a ride with a tolerable wait time, or take the time for souvenir shopping or dining!
The important thing is to not let it feel like a waste! There is always plenty of indoor magic to experience to make the most out of every moment of your vacation!

Pro Tip Of The Day!!

Don't sleep on the calmer rides!

It took me too long to realize just how much I love the Winnie the Pooh Ride in Magic Kingdom!

Thrill Rides are named appropriately, they are the fastest, most exciting rides ever! But calmer rides have their own kind of magic!

My favorite ride has always been Peter Pan's Flight, now it's rivaled by Winnie the Pooh!
They may not have major drops or launches, but their magical storytelling is unmatched.

Disney is the best at storytelling, and they don't stop at just movies!
Experience the magic, air conditioning and relaxation the calmer rides around Disney World offer!

My favorite park! (Sorry EPCOT)

Animal Kingdom has the most hidden gems for me!

💛 Don’t forget about the animal treks!
Ride the train to Rafiki’s Planet Watch! Pet the goats, enjoy smaller crowds, air condition and an awesome train ride through nature!
Waltz around the Tree of Life for the best animal trek with beautiful photo spots!
Take the time for Gorilla Falls Exploration trail!

🤍 I’m not really one to buy the Lightening Lanes, but Pandora is one I say it’s worth it! Every other ride in this park has low times that come about. Pandora rides will be 90+ minutes all day. Play it by ear to find the low tides of Pandora queues, or just Lightening Lane it and go with it!

💛 Single Rider Line on Everest!
I have never waited more than 5 minutes for the single rider line. Plus I usually ride with my whole party anyway! Save up to an hour out of your day and ride with new buddies!
