We’re heading into our final week of Coastal Cruises and Lobstering Demonstration & Wildlife Tours, with the season wrapping up October 15.

Join us for a coastal cruise among the islands, with stories about local history and a look at oyster farming along the way. Or come aboard for a lobstering trip to see how traps work and get a close look at what we find. We’ll keep an eye out for seals and other wildlife on both tours.

ONE LAST COASTAL CRUISE & LOBSTER ROLL

Our final Coastal Cruise & Lobster Roll trips of the season are coming up Friday, October 9 through Monday, October 12.

During this two-hour cruise, we travel through the islands and working waterfront of northern Casco Bay. Along the way, we share local history, stories about the islands, and information about the oyster and kelp farms found in these waters.

You can enjoy the cruise with a Maine lobster roll from Harraseeket Lunch & Lobster, served with chips—or choose the cruise-only option.

Fall color is beginning to spread along the shoreline, the summer crowds are gone, and only four days remain in our scheduled tour season.

OUR FINAL LOBSTERING TOURS OF THE SEASON

If you have been meaning to see how Maine lobstering works, this weekend is your last opportunity to join us in 2026.

During our two-hour Lobstering Demonstration & Wildlife Tour, we haul up our traps and take a close look at whatever we find. You’ll learn how traps work, how lobsters are measured, how we distinguish males from females, and how Maine’s regulations help protect the fishery.

We’ll also watch for seals, seabirds, and other marine life as we travel among the colorful islands of northern Casco Bay.

Final departures are available Friday, October 9 through Monday, October 12.

Adults: $65
Children under 12: $45
Free shuttle from downtown Freeport

Yesterday’s catch gave us a close look at the next generation of Maine lobsters.

This egg-bearing female came up in one of our traps yesterday. Seeing her eggs tucked beneath her tail is a reminder of why protecting breeding females matters. We returned her to the water after taking a closer look.
