On the cloudiest of days, look for those little rays of sunshine to brighten your day.

Hiked my favorite loop in Yosemite, The Grand Tour over the weekend. It didn't look promising with rain, snow, high in the 40s, for Saturday's forecast but it ended up being one of the best days. Not every day has to be perfect weather. The clouds with the sun just poking through make for more dramatic views, and each time you look up you see something different.

What an amazing hike to the Diving Board. This was harder than Half Dome IMO due to the off-trail that is necessary and incline.

Started out around 630 with very few people on the Mist Trail with perfect weather. We made a left just before LYV and going towards lost lake. Just past lost lake there is an option to go down or go up, we went up. Navigation through the rocks want too bad but once your on the ledges you have to pick your routes carefully. After a couple of sketchy traverses we bushwhacked our way through the manzanita to the Diving Board. The last ascent here is loose and for every step its like you have to take two.

Once we were there the views were stunning and the drop is deadly. I am looking forward to going back soon.

6am, Venice Beach, early mornings are my favorite to go exploring. I enjoy the solitude. Then being out when mother nature starts to wake up has to be one of my little guilty pleasures.

Bears are active in the valley. This one was active right off the bike path between The Mist Trail trailhead and Mirror Lake.
