Update: The Anacortes/San Juan Islands route is operating on its regular schedule Tuesday, Oct. 6.

Washington State Ferries is currently experiencing service disruptions, including canceled sailings, and is recommending that travelers avoid nonessential ferry travel at this time. There is not yet a timeline for when regular service will resume.

If you do need to travel, please check WSF Rider Alerts for the latest updates before heading to the terminal and be prepared for changes to your plans.

Happy National Scenic Byway Day! 🚗🌲

The San Juan Islands Scenic Byway was designated by Washington State in April 2009. The Byway is divided into three segments: 30 miles along Washington State Ferries routes, a driving tour around San Juan Island, and a driving tour on Orcas Island.

Along the way, you’ll experience the natural beauty of the Islands, with plenty of opportunities to explore local arts and culture, history, scenic viewpoints, and more.
