A first-person hike along Harbor Bay Trail at Lake Meredith. This trail gives you a ground-level look at the rugged Canadian River breaks, open Panhandle country, rocky terrain, and the kind of views that make Lake Meredith completely different from anywhere else in the Texas Panhandle.

If you’re planning a trip to Lake Meredith, Harbor Bay Trail is one of those places worth getting out of the truck and actually exploring on foot.

This yellow Sea-Doo has gotten pretty easy to recognize around Lake Meredith.

If you see us out there and the kids want a show, wave us down. Throw us a wake, pull up alongside, get our attention—we’ll give them something to watch. Flat spins, hard cuts, fast passes and a few tricks.

And if you’re running a jet boat, cigar boat, or one of those newer skis that thinks it’s got something for us… we’re always up for a friendly run when the water and conditions are right. Some of y’all might even outrun us once in a while. We’ll admit it. 😎

A few families have already caught the show, and the kids’ reactions make it worth it every time.

Labor Day weekend is almost behind us, but Lake Meredith is still busy — and a little dock and ramp courtesy goes a long way.

Get your coolers, gear, life jackets and passengers organized before you back down the ramp. Once you’re on the dock, load up, get everybody aboard safely, and clear the area so the next boat can get in or out.

The docks at Fritch Fortress, Sanford-Yake and Cedar Canyon can get crowded fast. Nobody expects perfection — just pay attention, help each other out, and remember there are usually several other people waiting to do the same thing you are.

We all came out here for the same reason: to enjoy Lake Meredith.

Be safe, be courteous, and we’ll see you on the water. 🤙

From the birds soaring over the water to deer, coyotes, rabbits, reptiles, and countless other species living in the rugged Texas Panhandle, Lake Meredith is more than a place to fish, boat, hike, and enjoy the outdoors — it’s habitat.

Every time we protect the shoreline, respect nesting areas, pack out our trash, and leave wildlife undisturbed, we help protect this remarkable ecosystem for generations to come.
