When I was about 9 years old I was so lucky my parents got me a ticket to ride on the Submarines Cozumel . Never thought my career would lead to me swimming on the other side of the windows.

Every month we do a free community dive. Every third is a trash cleanup at a spring. We got about 60 pounds of trash today.

Animal friends of Cozumel spotted while freediving:

Green Sea Turtle who boasts a 5.5 hour breath hold

French Angelfish who are indeed not French

Invasive lionfish - do not touch

Smooth trunkfish - very cute roomba of the reef
